I’ve learned so much over the years about food, cooking, life, and raising a family. I’m gathering all the best things and sharing them with you!
I was born and raised in Southern California, and met my future husband in a humanities class in college. We got married in 2015, and moved to North Carolina where he worked as a year-round wilderness camp for at-risk boys. We had so much fun starting our married life in the East Coast, but it was also hard being without so much of the food I grew up eating (tacos, peruvian food, pastries, dim sum, pho, korean food, fresh produce, and farmer’s markets). We loved life on 902 acres as the camp, but also missed the food that came with the abundant California sunshine. I started cooking and baking more seriously because if I wanted it… I had to make it!
I started experimenting a lot, and receiving a lot of positive feedback from my East Coast family and friends. This continued for several years until I graduated law school, and (finally) moved back to the West Coast to take the bar in Nevada.
After struggling with infertility for 7 years, visiting fertility specialists in both the East and West Coast, and spending a year trying to adopt both internationally and domestically, we thought children weren’t in God’s plan for us. We were grateful for the life God gave us, with or without kids, and planned to make the most of being a double income no kids household. I had grand plans of finally work and live the life of an attorney.
Much to our surprise, a week after I found out I passed the bar, I found out I was pregnant. I was sworn in to the State of Nevada when I was 8 weeks pregnant, and our life has been full and busy ever since!
After the birth of our daughter, it was difficult to find a law office that allows moms to work remotely and/or have a flexible schedule. I decided to use this time to create content, especially because I was thinking about it for over 10 years!
So thank you for being here, and for being the best part of my long-awaited vision!
